Valencia’s July Fair: The Summer Festival You Can’t Miss

Are you visiting Valencia in July and don’t know what to do? Let me introduce you to Valencia’s July Fair (Gran Feria de Julio 2026)!

It is a month-long summer festival in Valencia with incredible events that will keep your days and nights fully planned while you are here.

The festival starts on the 1st of July in the main square of Valencia (Plaza del Ayuntamiento) at 22:00 with the opening music show “Or, xata!” and fireworks.

This fair will make your summer nights unforgettable! You will have the opportunity to enjoy Valencian culture, museums, night markets, traditional food, concerts, and entertaining family activities.

Valencia’s July Fair features almost 300 events. Among them is one of the biggest music events of the summer, the Viveros Concerts (2–25 July), with national and international artists performing in the Jardines de Viveros.

Furthermore, you can experience Focs de la Fira (4–26 July), a spectacular series of fireworks across different locations in Valencia.

On the 18th of July there is also La Gran Nit, the city’s biggest night of free concerts, performances, and entertainment.

During Valencia’s July Fair, there is also one of the oldest wind band competitions in the world, where bands from different countries perform in Valencia (the 138th International Wind Band Competition, 10–19 July).

The closing event is the traditional Battle of Flowers on the 26th of July, where a parade takes place and spectators throw thousands of flowers at each other.

The Battle of Flowers dates back to the 19th century and is considered one of Valencia’s most beloved traditions.

Practical tips:

  • Arrive early if you want a good viewing spot for the fireworks.
  • Wear comfortable shoes because you will probably be walking a lot.
  • Bring water, especially if you are visiting during the day.
